Due to the increasing amount of spam we are getting we are implementing a few small changes in how one registers for the board. When you sign up for your account you will be sent an email from the board and asked to reply as a means of confirmation. You just follow the link and tada all done. Hopefully this will keep down the number of fake registers and spammers.
Next we will be sending private messages to a few of the newer members who have registered but have not posted a message to the board. We are doing this only to see who is a real person and who is a 'bot' if you get a PM for us just reply and your in the clear. You'll have a bit to get back to us, and if your account is accidentally cleared don't worry we can fix it.
That's all.

SPAMTASTIC UPDATE:
Certain free webmail services known for spam can no longer be used to register an account on the forum. This should have no effect at all on current members and should have little to no effect on 99.9% of legitimate users trying to register.
If you happen to have one of the one's on the banned list you'll have to use another email account to register. Again, this should have little to no effect unless you are using a russian, arab, or otherwise spammy webmail service.
If you have any problems at all please email the admin or post a message to the forum. |
